GERD BRANTENBERG is a feminist author who has criticized patriarchy, heteronormative society and capitalism for the last three decades. She published her first book, Opp alle jordens homofile, in 1973 where she satirically describes life as a homosexual in the 1960s. In 1977, Brantenberg published Egalias D√łtre, a book that became Norway's largest international success in the 1970s and 1980s.
