Den störste
Conversation with Fijona Jonuzi

For the April salon, we have invited the filmmaker and scriptwriter Fijona Jonuzi to show her recent film Den störste (2017). The film premiered at Göteborg Film Festival in January, and we are pleased to host the Norwegian premiere of this film, followed by a conversation with the filmmaker.

In Den störste we meet the actor Micke and director Thommy, who are making a one-man show about and starring Micke. The premiere is approaching, but none of the material for the performance is ready. Regardless, their self-esteem is indisputable and their idea for the show is larger than life. In their portryal of Micke and Thommy, Eva Johansson and Louise Löwenberg deliver humorous and touching portrait of two male cult figures who are battling each other over the power of a show they meant to be realizing collaborativly.

The conversation following the screening will provide insight into the working process behind Den störste as well as the collaboration between the filmmaker and the stage duo Eva & Louise, who developed the theater play that the film uses as its starting point. The elaborate gender reversal in the film opens up for an intriguing conversation about gender, power and the potential of drag, which we are very excited to discuss with Fijona Jonuzi.
